Timnj- Make sure your batteries are taped in well enough that they can't come out in a crash, the shock problem you described sounds like the batteries came out and hit the shock in a hard hit with something, it is fairly common in link cars, or in non saddle pack 12th cars...Usually what happens is the shock shaft gets bent...
