I wouldn't say that. It depends on what works best for you. I invariably run program 3 on my LRP TC speedo and use the timing on the motor to fine tune. But then that is me running mod. For stock and possibly super stock I would probably use program 8.
As to the programs on the LRP speedo's, I can understand Reto not willing to divulge details. I am quite certain the difference between the programs is not solely timing. I can imagine variable timing settings at different throttle levels, different frequencies (also at different throttle levels) and several other parameters that may differ from program to program. Meaning with the timing on the motor you solely change that while changing program changes more than just the timing.
