in my opinion we have lost more 1/12th racers at our track due to poor motor selection than anything else.
3 that come to mind went with 8-9 turn P-94 or Reedy motors because they saw in RC Car ACtion articles about Masami's, Cryul, or Doseck's cars. they could not handle the H-pwr, make time, or drive the car since they were beginners.
a few would ask what motor i was running and seemed to tweak in disbelief when i told them it was a 11x3 or a 11x1.
