This statement contradicts what ROAR did at the carpet nats in (I think) 2005. They decided to allow brushless motors to run along with open mod brushed motors just 2 weeks before the event. This is part of the reason USVTA stands alone, and why you see other non ROAR events gaining in popularity. I've been to a USVTA race, and everything was kept clean. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
OK if all of that is true then sure thats pretty bad, but ROAR has been around a long time and they have been considered the standard and the model that other RC racing organizations use to form their own structure. ROAR rules were used as a model for many of the USVTA rules. If they are so bad then join and vote = change it.
