Getting the runtime is all about a)Good betteries, b) Throttle control, and c) Proper gearing.
Heck, when I was competing hardcore back in '89-'91, I had no trouble making runtime with 1700mAh batteries and 10-Turn motors; even then, I usually had about a minute of runtime left in the cell.
There are big differences between then and now. First, the batteries abviously have a much greater capacity, and second, motor designs (particularly the newer magnets) are MUCH more efficient than those I was using back then.
I can see where they should have no problem making time, considering the caliber of drivers we are talking about here.
