For bashing it will just add a bit more stress to the outer wheel bearings and the outer axle stub. Over time these pieces will be fatigued quicker and fail. But that's over time. But on the plus side you will gain stability and reduced steering and direction changes. The truck would react slower and that might not be desireable after a few minutes.
For racing it will make the truck too wide to be legal.
I'd suggest sticking with the 1/2" off set wheels. That's what the truck was designed for.
