Yes to both of your questions. There are quite a few people on here that have used sensored BL motors without the sensor wire on the Ezrun ESC's with great success.
The sensored version of the Ezrun is called the Xerun, but I don't think that there is anyone in the states that sells it yet. There are other companies that sell the Xerun, just under their name.
