For gears, most chassis require either no lube, or a very viscous lube, specifically diff lube. Don't use greases or anything like that, you'll produce parasitic drag on your drivetrain, that'll defintely slow you down. Sure use the dry stuff, but don't over-do it, you'll end bogging down the drive train.
