They did that a few months ago when they made running changes to the kit. They were backed ordered for a while. They changed the packaging at the same time. People refer to the new kits a "black box" kits. Some people feel the quality of the new kits is below that of the older production kits.
All I know is i built 2 t4 kits within 6 months of each other. 1 pre buyout, and 1 post buyout. There was a deffinite difference in quality of both the machined peices and the molded peices. I hate to say it ,but I saw the corporate change over taking hold then. It will be REAL interesting to see what happens over the next few months I think.
