When arriving at at unknown track, can you get a starting point from measuring the straight and then adjust from there? I have read recently that a Tekin RS with a 17.5 was using a 70 rollout on a low 8s track and 77 on a high 9s track
I realize that many factors are in play - but could I assume with that same setup that a high 10s, low 11s track would need a rollout of 80? At least as a starting point.

If I am understanding correctly a more open track can tolerate a little higher rollout and a tighter track needs a little lower. With those given lap times.

and remember I are REAL new to Brushless (never had one - but getting one)
and just looking for a reasonable method for a starting point.

If I understand correctly if I run a too high (or low??) a rollout, I can cook my motor and ESC. Just want to get in the ballpark without cooking anything.

Thanks
