I know roll out is calculated tire diameterxpi/gear ratio. That wasn't as complicated as I originally had thought. Is there a way to figure roll out from straight away length? Ultimately a car should be geared to top out at or just before the end of a straight away. Would this be worth figuring or just more number crunching than it's worth?
You need a lot more numbers to start, as car weight, motor torque, and RPM @ car weight... Just start with a rough number and play with it a little. You cannot not just go with straight, you also have to conisder how tight the infield is.
