Yes I found this true also, I was pretty disappointed and this is with the E 8ight body not only the standard body. I purchased 2 of the losi 4 cell 5000's since I figured they would fit perfect but they definitely hit the body that came with my E 8ight roller, I didn't notice the esc hitting it though, I guess it's because the battery caught all of my attention or maybe it clears the E 8ight body.

The Zippy-R 4 cell 4800's do fit nicely in the battery tray though. What gives with the enormous wire that the zippy's come with??? I swear it must be like 6 guage, It was definitely challenging to soldier on the EC5 connectors to the huge wire.
