I've never done this before, and don't really want to undertake it if it's gonna be too complicated. Does anybody know anything about the procedure on this truggy? Or even if it's necessary?

A hump pack will plug straight into the existing switch, just unplug the AA battery holder, and plug in the Hump Pack, very easy to do, and very well worth it
