A higher rated ESC is always going to be more efficient and last longer than a lower one. Don't forget a light that burns half as bright burns for twice as long

A higher amp esc is going to have more/bigger mosfets therefore the internal resistance will be lower, resulting in less heat and less wear on the speed control.

Will it make any difference on a mini? doubtful.
