thank you
The most major reason I heard was that it wasn't highly available before the race, Kyosho had the same problem with the Evolva M3 as well at the worlds because they only brought 2 or 3 with limited parts one or two weeks before the worlds. There were not enough dramatic changes for drivers to give up a car they know works (older evolva) to try it.

The next major reason I can think of is that the geometry really isn't any different, there are some cuts here and there but overall none of the weight has moved around much. The big enhancement in steering is from using the evolva servo saver assembly which is just a different ackerman setting than from the evo wc. The 2d clutch is cool, but I run a Sirio clutch anyway. The rear arms geometry is changed but only because they screwed the pivot balls out 2mm and you can do that on the old car. The 2 speed is just from the evolva, I can't remember having problems with the aluminum based gears.

3rd reason, the evo2 is not as complete as the evo wc. I still recommend upgrading from the evo wc to an evo2 wc by buying the few parts it requires until the evo2 wc is available if for no other reason than to get the front/rear universals and light driveshafts.
