THE ABOVE QUOTE IS ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT INFORMATION
While rule 8.10.3.3 under Electric Vehicle Class Specifications does, in fact, state "4-cells maximum" as you indicate, the rule you need to look REALLY hard at is the qualifier by which LiPo batteries are allowed into ROAR racing. Rule 8.3.1, the very first rule under batteries, states:
"ROAR Approved Lithium battery technology may be used as a (sic) option in any 6 cell 7.2 volt NiCd NiMH electric vehicle racing".
1/12 racing is clearly described as 4 cell max racing, not 6 cell. Not even the most creative interpretation of the rules can establish LiPo as legal under 1/12 rules at this point. Sorry.
