I'll second the Trans Am feelings.
Many of our TA racers have taken to running a second class in conjunction with TA....13.5BL/19turn with rubber tires. They are loving it. Enough speed and low maintenance with a 13.5 to quench the speed demon and enough speed for 90-100 foot straightaways on carpet.
