BTW, how old are you?
If you are still schooling and budget is tight, I would not suggest you even start.
the buying never ends,
There are 2nd hand kits around but let me just list you the items (brand new)
Car kit (TT01D) http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58349
TT01D with LED Lights http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58388
Or TT01 RTR (Ready to Run) http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=57765
With RTR kits, you dont need to buy a controller otherwise
Futaba http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futk01.html
or Sanwa http://www.airtronics.net/airtronics_MX_3.asp

Charger - http://shop.singahobby.com/?q=node/12328
Batteries - http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=55088

I am not trying to discourage you, just want to let you know the items needed. You might need at least 2 set of batteries. Some spare parts in case wear and tear. This hobby is not cheap, I don't want you to end up buying everything and then tight budget to give up and you never really enjoy this hobby.

Most of us, started during our school days and we cannot allow to continue this hobby as a student and so we stop. Now that we are all working, we ended up in this hobby again. For me, it is a reviving the hobby that I didn't get to enjoy when young.
