There are generally two possibilities as to what can be wrong with it.
1. Take the battery tray out and see if it looks like any of the plastic warped or melted near the battery connection in the radio. If there is, then you might have blown the safety diode in the handle.
2. It's possible the switch went bad on the transmitter. If the display can turn on, but the main power can not then you probably just wore out the switch. Hey, it's a switch. Just like in a car, they tend to wear out.
Best bet is if you're not sure you should send it in to Airtronics service and have them check it out.
Good Point, I didn't even think of just trying to turn on the display.
I will send it away but I've got that much racing coming up over the next few months (every weekend until december) I was hoping there was something that I could do myself.
Anyway, Thanks for your help.
I'll check both of those things out.
