It doesn't matter what level driver you are, if someone hits your buggy from the side and contacts the stinger or pipe it will bend, even if your name is Hara !! Unless your clever enough to stay in front of the field for 30 mins without lapping anybody, then sooner or later the pipe will take a knock. I have run quite a few pipes and taken quite a few knocks and the 0801 has certainly damaged easier than any other pipe I have owned.
I am definitely not knocking Go products (I love my Go engines), just stating a fact that others also seem to have found with the 0801 pipe

I guess what I was trying to say was that if you are a better driver you won't be stuck sideways on the track and therefore not getting t-boned by another car. No doubt lap traffic will cause problems, you are right there!
I think the best thing we could do to prevent the pipe from denting is putting on the stinger guard. I know Kyosho's come with them, not sure on other cars. But I believe it is what is saving my pipe from damage.
