Thanks liljohn, yes the motor heatsink and shock is the one for the F103GT. It's a spot on match for this car and is allowed in the TCS races Tamiya hosts. The low friction plats I had from years gone by.
Dataz; regarding your question about hopups...I would suggest the heatsink, shock and spring kit for the front end and damper post. That's a really good start. I'd also suggest using bearings everywhere.
The stock gearing supplied in the kit is a 64 tooth spur with a 17 tooth pinion. Your final gear ratio will fluctuate depending on the tire size.
I usually run a 94 tooth spur and 24-28 tooth pinion depending on tire size.
