Seems the 359 is just 358+heatsink then. Supposedly gives it a longer lifespan because the internals are abused less by heat. Supposedly.
I think, according to the specs, the 359 is like a 357+heatsink. That heatsink will also let heat in if the plate it's mounted to is hot. Good thing this is an offroad forum and offroad cars can get away with it, I know the electric onroad chassis plates get really really hot from the ground when it's 160+ and the batteries are stressed. I would not use a 359 in that situation.
edit: What's really odd is that I made a "careful study" of the '359 specs and I'd swear they were once the same as a '357, now they're the same as a '358. It was also claimed that the gear train was ALL metal. They now have a plastic gear inside. Anybody ever seen that?
