yeah, either the gears are stripped, or its too weak for your truggy linkge. will it turn the wheels if the front wheels are off the ground? nothing else is wrong, wight? like its plugged in the correct way and wires good, not pinched etc?

I say try that and if it won't, then take is back to that guy and slap him around a little.
