SOS pad is fine for the outside of the pipe but the the anti-freeze in the crock pot cleans out the inside as well. It loosens up all the grit and grime that has cooked onto the pipe and header and there's is no scrubbing involved. This was a tip given to me by a fully sponsored driver.
By using a crockpot with coolant, how long does it usually take before the gunk softens up and how does the aluminum look like after, does it become dark, dull or it stays shinny?
