Thank you for all your replies, but maybe I should have rephrased it. How much torque is a recommended "minimum" for a competitive racer? I am looking at the futaba BLS452 which has 194 in/oz or the futaba BLS351 with 208 in/oz. Would these be sufficient?
Plenty of torque for a buggy.

I'm running the Ace DS1015 servo in my TRUGGY which has larger tires and wheels. It's rated at 200oz but most claim it's more like 230ish.

I've got almost 3 gallons on the servo now without a whimper. If 200ish ounces is enough for a truggy it's plenty for a buggy.
