Maybe its still running too rich? did you check the glowplug? It could be that.
try going another 1/4 turn closed, if that works, try another 1/8 closed, and keep going from there until your engine hits its prime. Be cafeful not to go too lean though, it can/will damage your engine, thats why its nice to have a temp gun to make sure you aernt too lean.
