Dale might kick in to give the whole story, however I can tell you what I know. Originally when the rules were being formulated, those bodies were slated to be in production and on shelves. I can tell you that the corvette looks and works totally awesome, as do the other bodies.
I think that the bodies chosen will give an equal playing field, and should be awesome to watch!
