Barry- I went thru my racer yesterday. I would sacrifice the plastic gear and dremel a slot in the screw and back it out.. Hope this helps!
My problem is the head of the screw is gone... I tried to drill it, but this did no work.... and the screw is to small to cut a slot in it....
