Driveline binding
I have a friend with a Cyclone TC, essentially new.
His driveline has a problem binding up somwhere. For about 1/2 a turn of the spur gear it is "free", then, for about 1/4 turn it is "stiff". This is of course with the pinion removed.
There is nothing visibly bent, nothing visibly rubbing, or out of alignment.
Disconnecting the front drive belt shows that the binding is somewhere in the spur to rear area. The rear diff seems "normal".
Any suggestions on how to further diagnose and solve the problem. With the resistance in his driveline, it's like he's running with a drag brake enabled all the time.
