I'm looking to buy a new lipo for my TC and have been leaning towards the 5000mah SMC hard-cased packs rated at 28C (I think). Alot of local guys say there is a noticeable difference between the SMC packs rated at 28C vs. the older Orion 3600 packs rated at 25c.

I checked the specs on the new 3800 Orion pack and it has a 30c rating.

Has anyone done a comparison with the SMC 5000mah rated at 28C vs. the new Orion 3800mah rated at 30C? Is the power the same, noticeably different? I am not concerned with run-time since our heats and mains rarely ever go past 5 minutes.

I also plan on getting two packs. I am leaning towards the Orion packs because of the bullet-style connector ports. As far as the Trinity 3800, I don't know much about it but I can go in that direction also because of the bullet-style ports. However, I look at the "C" ratings (power) more than I do MAH (run time).

Thanks!
