You are not going to need that much run time. The lipos are much closer to rated capacity than NImh. A 3800 would be plenty.

As noted above, that core lipo from Nexus racing would be a sweet deal.

Also, the Novak XBR BL ESC is 129.00 at tower, good deal.
LRP AI BL ESC is ****$85**** at tower, crazy deal!! The pro version, $115..

Either of those ESCs would work great for this type of racing at very reasonable prices.

Rob, the cut off switches I'm finding online are in the $20's, so in your opinion
for another 20 is it worth getting it built in with the Novak?

My charger is the problem, so if I need to spend any additional money except for the packs, might as well just go lipo right off the bat
