If your problem persists chances are you have shaken something loose in your receiver, if you have another receiver try using it. This is probably not your problem but I have seen it before, I am betting the problem is either in your battery wire or connector.
I agree totally. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. I have had similar issues and it usually was a broken/chaffed wire somewhere. Could be in battery pack. Turn your system on/engine off start tugging(don't get carried away) on wires, tapping on switch case, tapping on battery pack, etc. When the system glitches or quits responding you've found it. Hope this helps.
