Not to mention the other night running my Matrix at 215+ and I put my hand in the exhaust and could still see fuel in there, but it was full of power when I needed it. On a 230ft straight I still had more pulling power when I had to let off to make the turn at this rich setting. I guess it's just how it runs.
Well you've hit the nail on the head. The best thing is to tune it for power AND smoke. Then if you want a
reference, temp it when you have it tuned right. Record the engine temp, the exact make/model plug you used, pipe config, as well as the air temp, humidity and pressure at that time. You can look up the past 24hr historical weather readings for any place on
www.accuweather.com.
However, the optimum temp for another *like* day still may vary +/-20d.
