Yea, but mark where the timing is now. Next, loosen the three screws, then gently turn the timing ring each direction (shouldn't move more than about 1/4" in either direction) and mark the full advanced and retarted positions, then compare to where timing is currently. I think most BL motors are 4-deg advanced from the factory, so it should be turned slightly further clockwise.
