i wanted to do the same but after talking to someone who had a alum adapt. made the motor ran lean on the bottom no matter what he did. i just dont think that little carb could give enough fuel on the bottom. i turned the epa down from 110 to 80 = meaning im not running at wide open, put the ae smoothy pipe on with .8 clutch springs and 20% fuel. been doing gas truck for a long time and ive never had one this fast or smooth. 200 deg will make you smile
