i can tell you that i know that in full size racecars it make a lot of difference if the fuel is hot or cold, about 10-20 hp and has been dyno tested but not so sure on 3-4 hp nitro motors. just common sense tells me that it would.....i don't run mine anywhere near a heat source, but i have a buddy that wraps around the head for more length and he has had no problems. so i think personal prefference. just my 2 cents
