I don't know if this would be of much help to you but you could use the 54T 1st gear spur of an NTC3 (yes, NTC3 from AE
). The 54T spur will be a direct fit to the one way 1st gear hub carrier and they mesh correctly with the existing pinions. This is what the local guys here are using and they seemed to be pretty satisfied with it. Well, I don't think it'll give you anywhere the 7.5 1st gear ratio but you'll get somewhere at 7.18
Also, using smaller tires will help. Hope that helps...
