For the Losi, get a hold of the PRS spur gear adapter that will allow you to run standard spur gears. That will make your life easier. It will keep you from having to run 60t pinions—which PRS also sells.

Shaft drive cars are a little more difficult to do, because of the taller internal gear ratio, but it can be done. We ran 86t spurs on a TC3 with big pinions to get to the proper ratios.
thanks for the heads up i built my own gear adapter yesterday and am just awaiting my motor and esc so i can get away from brushed
