Why are you trying to get the temp under 120C?
We've run the engines up to 135 - 145C to get maximum performance. As long as you have a little smoke, you should be okay. Also check the plug after your run. If you have a thin bead of wetness around the outside lip, you're okay. It's probably filthy wet at 120.

One of my motors is the Collari (1) version of the Nova 35 plus 21 mill. Whatever I do, I can not get the temperature below 120 deg. C. A little bit richer on the HSN needle and the car wont even go into second gear. The motor smokes like a steam train, which is telling me that it is still to rich. Performance is close to other engines on the track, even that rich. Piston/sleeve contact area is smooth with no scratches and compression is very high (hard to turn flywheel over hot and cold). Standard head gap with 0,7mm shim stack. 25% Nitro, Orcan/Serpent fuel (Jonker Netherlands).
I know how to tune an engine, and I ran other engines leaner with temps around 110 deg. C, so I think the Collari "likes" or needs higher temperatures.
Any thoughts or advise on this?
Many thanks in advance!
