Ran good but it won't last more than 10 minutes without flaming out in the A main. Last night I took out my old trusty Go to run the main. It idled great, extremely fast and it died within 4 minutes. Took out the plug and it was bad, put a new one in but had a hard time starting and it felt like a rock was caught in the flywheel but nothing was there. tried to turn it over again after a minute or so and all seemed fine and it started, went back out on the track and it died immediately. Done for the night. I just took it a part and the wrist pin holder snaped off inside of the piston. Don't know if I am going to rebuild it. Is 3 gallons the life of these Go's?
Dude it sounds like you bought my m otor! I am having the same problems. Broke my wrist pin holder, so I ordered a new p/s/r. But due to the earlier problem my crank pin was worn. So even with a new rod there was slop. I decided to give it a shot anyway. So I start break in again. It starts to run erratic again. Come to find out the play in the carb was due to the outer metal sleeve seperating from the inner sleeve. It is now stuck in my crank case so I couldn't swap carbys if I wanted to.
Moral of the story though, call Russel and Dana at racefactor. They WILL take care of you. I was impressed that Dana took the time to call me and she said that is definitlly NOT normal and IS covered by warranty. Don't let a bad experience sour you. They have great customer service.
