The 7 port engine is normally a top end engine, with poor bottom end, the 053 gives it great bottom, and lets the engine wind out for top end, when you go to the 3 or 5 port engines, they already have good botton end, and if you run a short track, the 053 may get by, but in any medium to big track, the 053 just tops out quick and has no more top end power.
