Some speed controls have reverse, some don't.
Also, some speed controls have reverse, and a feature to disable reverse.
If you plan on racing, get a speed control without reverse, or one that can disable reverse. Many race programs do not allow reverse during the race (I don't know why)
But if you are just gonna bash, it really doesn't matter...having reverse can be nice for bashing.
