Decided to try just for kicks to change the pipe to a JP-1 and seems to run really well with it. Won't know for sure until I get it on the track, but ran well up and down the street with just a slight difference in tunning from my .053. I still have the head shim installed. The engine is fully broken in now. What effect will keeping the shim in versus taking the shim out have on the engine?

Does anyone else have an opinion on using a JP-1 pipe on the 7 port T? For that matter, what about the other JP pipes?

yea take that shim out if its fully broken in it could be causing low detonation.
