I was trying to sell a SR3100 pro receiver. I tell him my paypal address on where to send payment, and he pms me that money is sent.
I check and see I get an email saying Stan zuercher sent you payment with paypal. As always, I check my Paypal account and not click on any links in the email address which may lead to a phisher site. I end up going through the real paypal site by opening a new tab and typing in
www.paypal.com
Sure enough, my account says I have a $00.00 balance. Nice try, I'm not a retard
So next time you receive payment through paypal
1. check to see if you get an email of payment sent
2. do not click links in the email. Instead open a new window/tab to go directly to
www.paypal.com
3.log in to paypal and check your balance
If the balance isn't the amount you expected, report the person to every forum and forward the fake email to
[email protected] just like what I did.
