I think it is dependent on the motor selected, grunt motors do better around 140-155, but rpm motors seem to run hotter no matter what and I've had them around 175 without no apparent ill affects. Since serious racers frequently change brushes the only problem I can see is the effect of thermal cycling of the magnets.
