Uhhh, that's not what this is about. When foam tire was at it's peak, purple and plaid were the compounds. It may occur to you that as the tires became softer, and the cars became faster and twitchier, there was a net loss in foam tire racers. Now add to this the fact that the tires wear faster, and chunk easier, foams begin to lose their luster. Believe me, I am a dyed in the wool foam tire guy, but it is dead in the Chicago/Milwaukee area. This was not the case a few years ago.
