My friend also suspect imperfect batch of novarossi plugs were distributed in asia during 2005 - 2006 period. ( That's why he quit novarossi, and switch to other engines ). The last time I stock up glow plugs was in 2007, and the shop keeper told me they were 2005 - 2006 inventories.
Swap fuels..... Byron's, Tornado, Maxy's and give that a try..... maybe one range colder... C8TF. 25% is more than enough Nitro. You should be a ble to handle up to 250F with no problem. Are any of the rods loose? That will cause you to eat plugs like candy.

I'm running 0.9mm up north in 70- 80F temps. You may need another tenth to be safe. Any detonation pitting?
