Try this set-up. All plastic Losi shoes with 4 Gold springs. It will last for 4-6 months and I think there is less heat andeven help the CB bearing last longer.
if you go to all carbon-(composite)- make sure you use a new clutch bell or dremmel the aluminium residue off the inside of your old one.
if you don't the composite will wear out pretty quickly
