to get a good idle the bottom has to be set correctly, and the idle gap, and if your using the GO plug that came with it change it out for a OS hot plug, the motor is still tight at this point and the needles are still fat, the hotter plug will help, and keep fiol on the head so the sleeve doesnt shrink this will cause it to labor hard ond shut down.
