p.s. for those of you who are contemplating conversion from your regular TA05 to TA05 IFS, it is important to use all the IFS parts for it to work properly as intended. this includes the front steering knuckles, and c-hub. i realised it was different when i printed out my blank setup sheets. also, the smaller c-hub gives the front lighter un-sprung weight. actually, as far as possible, lighten the suspension as much as you can for greatest effect. (by the way, this is for ta05 iIFS, not my conversion
)
How well do the four lay-down shocks perform? It indeed looks very cool.
I ran my IFS in a club Trans Am series, and although being more than 100g heavier than their Xrays, when tuned correctly, my car can still hold its place in the A main.
I've now change the IFS back into my drift car. Here it is, on the Kawada chassis. Modified it to fit the HPI turnknuckle to fit wider foam tires for racing. Also took me some effect to trim the standard IFS front brace to fit on the CF chassis, but Kawada is no doubt better than 3Racing, and I'm glad I got one before they went discontinued.
